Header Tags

Header Tags are text that describes what will be found on your website. When a search engine searches the net for a keyword, they look for not only content on your website, but also at what Header Tags are inserted on that website.

HEADER TAGS

Header Tags
This section will allow you to edit the keywords, content and description of your website.

By default, Mark 4 automatically inserts two Header Tags that both have two separate sections that you can adjust as needed. Here is how to adjust each:

meta name="keywords" content="mark4,cms,turbo works"
The first section of the Header Tag allows you to insert keywords that search engines will look for when someone searches the internet, highlight the text ‘mark4,cms, turbo works’ and insert keyworkds that applies to your website followed by a comma after each keyword. Be sure to leave the quotation marks at the start and finish.

EXAMPLE: If your running a Hotel website, you might want to use the following keywords: “hotel, book now, reservation system, beach access, restaurant,”

meta name="description" content="powered by MARK4"
The second section of the Header Tag allows you to input a description of your website. To adjust the description that is seen by search engines of your website, highlight the text ‘Powered By Mark 4’ and type a description of your website. Be sure to leave the quotation marks at the start and finish.

EXAMPLE: Lets use the example of a Hotel website again. Your description might want to say: “Just blocks from the beach, our five star hotel offers the comfort of home while on vacation”
